Sangareddy: Excise department sleuths nabbed a ganja peddler and seized 23 packets each containing 15 grams of ganja, at Sriram Nagar in Patancheru Mandal on Tuesday. They also seized a moped and a smartphone from the accused. The accused was identified as Raj Kumar (21), a resident of Sriram Nagar.
Following a tip of from locals, Excise Inspector Sitaram Reddy said they raided Raj Kumar’s house and found the Ganja packets. The Excise Inspector said that they have filed a case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 against Kumar.
He has further warned that they would initiate stern action if anyone caught possessing and consuming any kind of drugs. Excise Sub-inspector A Venkatesham and others participated in the raid.
