Hyderabad: As part of the State government efforts to contain Covid-19 pandemic in the city, elected representatives and officials from line departments are setting up an exclusive vaccination centre beside multi-purpose function hall located in Seethaphalmandi.
“To reduce the load at existing vaccination centres in Seethaphalmandi ward, Deputy Speaker T Padma Rao and GHMC corporator of that ward, Hema Samala proposed the centre,” said a Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) official. Presently, in Seethaphalmandi ward the vaccination is underway at two places- Red Cross Hospital and Kuttyvelloddi Hospital.
Meanwhile, the GHMC is also continuing its Covid containment measures and as part of the ongoing fever survey, covered 51,884 households on Tuesday.
The survey was done by 704 teams comprising field-level workers from GHMC and the Health department. During the survey about 18,586 persons with fever symptoms were referred to Basthi Dawakhanas and Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHCs) for undergoing Covid tests.
