Sangareddy: Sangareddy MLA Chintha Prabhakar demanded the government expand Hyderabad Metro services to Sangareddy town in view of rapid urbanisation between Patancheru and Sangareddy. Citing the State government’s decision to expand the metro till Isnapur in Patancheru mandal from Miyapur, Prabhakar said that Sangareddy has also been fast expanding as people from Zaheerabad, Narayankhed, Andole and other parts of the State have settled here.
Isnapur is located just 15 km away from Sangareddy town. Since these settlers have been commuting between various parts of the state capital every day, the Sangareddy MLA underlined the importance of providing better transportation facilities for them.
Speaking in the State Assembly on Thursday, he complained that the widening of NH-65, on which multiple flyovers were also being built between Madeenaguda and Sangareddy, was going at a snail’s pace, resulting in traffic jams every day. He urged the government to ensure the works were completed before the set deadline to ease traffic snarls on the busy highway.
