Mancherial: Members of the Lions Club of India-Mancherial chapter donated 1,000 face shields to staffers of the department of medical and health department. They handed over the shields to District Medical and Health Officer Dr Subbarayudu here on Monday.
Municipal Council Chairman Gurram Srinivas Reddy, who was the chief guest of the event, said the staffers of the department were discharging duties and were involved in a wide range of activities in the wake of Covid-19, risking their lives. He lauded the members of LCI for coming forward to give way the shields that help them in preventing the deadly virus.
The chapter’s president Shankar, secretary Rajender, region secretary Edla Srinivas, youth activities chief coordinator Chandramohan Goud and members of various other clubs were present.
