Faf says Babar Azam surprised many with his skills

Speaking on who is the best cricketer between the two, South African cricketer Faf du Plessis, who is in Pakistan participating in the Pakistan Super League, said, I do see similarity between Kohli and Babar.

Hyderabad: The comparisons between Indian captain Virat Kohli and Pakistan’s Babar Azam have been the topic of discussion for long. At 26, Babar was made captain of Pakistan team in all three formats and he has been impressive for his side.

Speaking on who is the best cricketer between the two, South African cricketer Faf du Plessis, who is in Pakistan participating in the Pakistan Super League, said, “I do see similarity between Kohli and Babar. They are extremely high quality players. Babar, over the last year or so, has taken another step towards becoming one of the greats of the game so he has got an exciting future.”

Speaking on the sidelines of the tournament, he added, “I think he surprised a lot of people with his T20 cricket. People would have originally boxed him as a guy that hasn’t got a lot of power but certainly of late his T20 game has been remarkable,” he added.
