Fake ‘baba’ who sexually exploited several women arrested in Medak

Bommera Bapu Swamy alias Shiva Swamy, a resident of Anupuram near Vemulawada, according to Medak Superintendent of Police D Uday Kumar Reddy, used to attract women by pretending to offer astrology services.

Medak: A self declared godman who allegedly cheated dozens of women after capturing their nude videos and pictures, was arrested by the Narsapur police after a complaint from one of the victims.

Bommera Bapu Swamy alias Shiva Swamy, a resident of Anupuram near Vemulawada, according to Medak Superintendent of Police D Uday Kumar Reddy, used to attract women by pretending to offer astrology services.

Shiva Swamy also used to offer a permanent cure for mental and physical diseases by performing special pujas. While performing the puja, the conman used to mix sleeping pills in water and make the women fall asleep.

When they were sleeping, Shiva Swamy used to exploit them sexually and shoot videos, which he would later used to blackmail the women. H also threatened to circulate the videos on social media.

The accused had earned quite a sum in this way and was moving around in a high end car. He had got printed visiting cards, which he circulated among women, the SP said, adding that the accused had studied only up to Class 7.

The SP called upon the people to not believe the words of such fake babas and that people should realise that a Class 7 dropout could not cure any disease. The police also found dozens of videos of different women from his possession.

A case was registered and a probe is on.
