Hyderabad: A group of unidentified persons posing as Income Tax officials decamped with 3 kilos of gold ornaments and cash from a house in Gachibowli on Monday.

Police said the group that came in a car to the house of one Ch.Bhagyalakshmi at Nanakramguda introduced themselves as Income Tax officers and on the pretext of checking and verifying, took the almirah key and took the valuables.

The victim, who realized later she was cheated, approached the Gachibowli police and lodged a complaint.

A case was booked and efforts are on to identify and nab the suspects.
