Fake policeman arrested in Adilabad
A man from Narnoor was arrested in Gudihathnoor for posing as a policeman and cheating the public. He used photos of himself in police uniform on his person and WhatsApp to collect bribes. A motorcycle was also seized
Adilabad: A man was arrested for allegedly duping the public by wearing the uniform of policemen in Gudihathnoor mandal centre on Friday. A motorcycle was seized from him.
Echoda Inspector Bandari Raju said that Kudmetha Nagarao from Narnoor was apprehended for cheating the public by using his photographs which showed him in police uniform.
During investigations, Nagarao admitted to extracting money from the public by placing his photographs dressed in police uniform in his pocket and on his WhatsApp profile as well. He admitted to posing as a policeman and collecting bribes from gullible people by showing off the photographs and profile.
Gudihathnoor Sub-Inspector Madhu Krishna and staffers were present.
