Falaknuma police organise essay competition to promote drug-free India

Falaknuma police organised an essay competition at Government High School Jangammet to promote a drug-free India. Around 100 students participated in Urdu, English, and Telugu, while police highlighted the dangers of drug abuse and encouraged youth to educate others

Hyderabad: An essay writing competition was organised by the Falaknuma police at the Government High School Jangammet on Wednesday.

Around 100 students participated in the program held in Urdu, English and Telugu languages.


A Seethiah, Inspector, Falaknuma Police Station, said that the main objective of the programme is to create awareness among the students about the ill effects of drug abuse and promote a drug-free India.

An awareness programme was also organised at the school to highlight the ill effects of drug abuse.

Shaik Abdul Raheem, sub-inspector of Falaknuma police station, requested the students to educate their friends, neighbours and family members about the danger of drug abuse.

The police appealed to the students to cultivate good habits and focus on studies.
