Family dispute turns violent as man, father-in-law attack each other with knife in Warangal
A family dispute in Warangal turned violent when a man, Anil Kumar, attacked his father-in-law Prabhakar with a knife during a midnight visit in a drunken state. Prabhakar counter attacked. Both sustained serious injuries and were shifted to NIMS, Hyderabad.
Warangal: A family dispute turned violent as a man attacked his father-in-law with a knife at Ramannapet in Warangal city. He was also injured in a counter attack by the father-in-law.
According to police, the accused Aaketi Anil Reddy of Naimnagar in Hanamkonda married a woman from the Ramannapet area a few years ago. In view of clashes between the wife and husband, Anil Kumar’s wife went to her maternal house.
Anil Kumar went to his in-laws’ house around midnight on Tuesday in a drunken state and had an argument with his father-in-law Gunnala Prabhakar. In a fit of rage, he attacked Prabhakar with a knife, causing a bleeding injury on his stomach. Prabhakar tried to stop Anil Kumar and counter attacked him with the knife. They both were shifted to MGM Hospital with bleeding injuries and were later shifted to NIMS in Hyderabad as their condition was serious.
ASP Shubham Prakash and Mattewada SI Sambaiah visited the spot. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident.
