Family disputes: Two siblings attempt suicide, girl dies in Adilabad
They were upset with the constant quarrels between their parents.
Adilabad: A teenage girl died after she and her sister attempted suicide by hanging from the ceiling in their house at Sanjaynagar here on Tuesday.
Adilabad II town Inspector P Srinivas said that the deceased was identified as Tharikoppula Rekhasri (18), a degree I year student. Her younger sister, Deepasri, was admitted to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS)-Adilabad. Deepasri’s condition is said to be stable.
He added the reason for the siblings to attempt suicide would be known only after receiving a complaint from family members.
It is learned that both Rekhasri and Deepasri tried to end their lives when their parents were not present. While Rekhasri died on the spot, Deepasri survived. The siblings were depressed over family disputes. They were upset with the constant quarrels between their parents.
