Family of fifteen year old donate his organs after doctors declare him brain dead

In the accident, Nairi Mahesh, received serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital. With no improvement after emergency treatment, the doctors declared Mahesh as brain dead on April 4.

Hyderabad: The family of a 15-year-old boy Nairi Mahesh, a resident of Duppally, Mahabubnagar, who was declared brain dead, have donated his organs to needy patients On April 2, Mahesh, who was riding a two-wheeler, hit a tree. In the accident, the youngster received serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital. With no improvement after emergency treatment, the doctors declared Mahesh as brain dead on April 4.

The father of the youngster, Nairi Govardhan gave the consent to donate his organs. The surgeons retrieved kidneys (2), corneas (2) and liver (1), and allocated to needy patients under Jeevandan organ donation initiative. The Jeevandan officials thanked the family members of the youngster for their decision to save lives.
