Hyderabad: The bodies of a family of four, including two children, were found hanging in their home in Nagaram of Keesara here on Friday.

The victims were identified as Bikshapathi (35), an auto-rickshaw driver, his wife Usha (32), and their children Harshini and Yashwanth.

Police said that on Thursday night, local residents had alleged that Bikshapathi misbehaved with a girl from the neighbourhood and had gone to his house. They allegedly warned him and also assaulted him. They left the place saying the matter would be taken up with local leaders on Friday.

Bikshapathi, reportedly disturbed over the allegations, is suspected to have killed himself and his family. Police doubt that he first hanged his wife and children to death from the ceiling fan and later hanged himself.

Neighbours who came to see them in the morning found the bodies and alerted the

Keesara police, who shifted the bodies to hospital for autopsy.

A case has been registered and investigation is on.
