Famous Studios serving creative professionals through its co-working space

Having established a dedicated entity for co-working space in June 2019, Famous Working Company (FWC), over the last two years has created a platform where creative professionals could use the infrastructure as well as the network.

Hyderabad: Co-working space sector is seeing several dynamics with a range of businesses creating facilities to cater to the emerging needs of wider sets of professionals. 1946-born Famous Studios, one of the Bollywood’s iconic and largest film studios in Mumbai, has created a co-working space to facilitate the needs of those who work in film production, creative, content and media & entertainment industries.

Having established a dedicated entity for co-working space in June 2019, Famous Working Company (FWC), over the last two years has created a platform where creative professionals could use the infrastructure as well as the network.

Anant Roongta, MD, Famous Studios told Telangana Today in an exclusive interview, “We have designed the co-working space for creative thinkers and doers. From collaborating with a wide range of creative talent to mentor sessions with professionals and external advisors, FWC has created a vibrant community that gives creative professionals the freedom to co-exist. It also has an incubator for creative entrepreneurs, which provides the needed networking opportunities.”

He added, “If someone is looking for a workspace that allows them to network, create and co-create, the FWC offers them the co-working space solution, as it is not just an office, but a community. It is a co-working space that caters to creative professionals and enhances their creative vision with ready-to-shoot studio sets that provide them end-to-end solutions. Due to Covid, occupancy was impacted in the past months, but in the coming 3-4 months, we hope the occupancy will improve.”

One can opt from among ‘Beehive’, ‘Nest’, and ‘Den’ workspace formats as per their suitability or need. Since the OTT segment has been growing in the last two years, there is a need for quality infrastructure and workspaces that will help people working in the industry, Roongta noted.

Famous Studios, which is into 75th year of operations, spreads into a sprawling 1.1 lakh sq ft area and to several locations across Mumbai. It has been honoured with Dadasaheb Phalke and the Indian Motion Picture Association’s recognition for its outstanding contribution to Indian Cinema, in addition to other accolades and awards..
