Warangal Rural: Stating that even 72 years after Independence, justice was not being done to farmers, BJP leader and Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Aravind said the new farm laws are meant to benefit farmers immensely.
Addressing party leaders from Warangal Rural district at a meeting in Hanamkonda on Sunday, Arvind said: “It is not right to criticize without fully reading the farm laws enacted by the Central government. “How do the new laws adversely impact Telangana State?” he asked.
Alleging that Congress and TRS were resorting to a maligning campaign against the BJP government at the Centre, he alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao should have vested interest if he is opposing the new laws.
Stating that the of minimum support price would be resolved, Arvind said: “In Punjab, farmers lost Rs 3,500 crore due to the middlemen system. With the implementation of the new farm laws, farmers would benefit. We will abolish the ‘board system’ in the coming days and will bring the ‘cluster system.”
