Farm loan waiver post Ugadi: Harish Rao
He said that the state govt will implement the loan waiver scheme and grant funds for double bedroom houses in beneficiaries' own lands in the 2021-22 fiscal post Ugadi festival
Medak: In an announcement that should bring cheer to the farming community in the State, Finance Minister T Harish Rao on Wednesday said the State government will implement the loan waiver scheme and grant funds for double bedroom houses in beneficiaries’ own lands in the 2021-22 fiscal post Ugadi festival.
Addressing a gathering after inaugurating 48 double bedroom houses at Chatriyal and Gajulagudem villages in Papannapet mandal, the Minister said the TRS government had put in all efforts to continue with all the welfare schemes though despite the fact that there was a drastic drop in revenue generation on account of Covid-19 pandemic in the current financial year. “The State government could not implement the loan waiver scheme and construction of double bedroom houses in lands owned by beneficiaries on account of this issue, but these two promises will be fulfilled post Ugadi festival. The TRS government never compromised on welfare schemes,” Harish Rao asserted.
Pointing out that no other State government or Centre had implemented schemes like Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, Kalyana Lakshmi, double bedroom houses, free round the clock power supply, among other, the Minister said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao always wanted to see the farming community and the poor lead a decent life.
Since the government was planning to impound Singur project with Godavari water with the completion of Sangareddy canal under Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme shortly, Rao said that Papannapet farmers can irrigate their crops twice a year. District Collector S Harish, MLA M Padma Devender Reddy and others were present.
Earlier, Rao inaugurated 132/33KV sub-station at Chinna Shankarampet at a cost of Rs 12.38 crores.
