Farmer assaulted by ASI in Munugode over land dispute
Summoned to the police station over a land dispute, Muthyalu reportedly requested more time to finish his ongoing farm work, but the police did not respond favorably. He alleged that ASI Koti Singh, influenced by his neighbor Raja Bhaskar, assaulted him without provocation. Muthyalu claimed that the ASI visited the disputed site, verbally abused him, and then physically attacked him.

Nalgonda: In a shocking incident, an ASI, identified as Koti Singh, allegedly assaulted a farmer, Muthyalu, in full view of his family and the general public in Munugode mandal of Nalgonda district.
Summoned to the police station in connection with a land dispute, Muthyalu had reportedly pleaded for time to complete his work on the farm which he was half way through, but the police personnel reportedly did not respond positively. Muthyalu alleged that ASI Koti Singh, influenced by his neighbouring farmer Raja Bhaskar, beat him though it was uncalled for. The ASI had allegedly visited the disputed site and abused him verbally before attacking him physically.
Following the incident, Muthyalu lodged a complaint with the Superintendent of Police, the Sub-Divisional Police Officer and the local inspector, calling for the immediate suspension of ASI. Sub Inspector Chanda Venkateswarlu confirmed that a report on the incident was sent to the Sub-Divisional Police Officer and action was awaited.
The incident has sparked outrage among the local community and raised concerns about police conduct and the handling of civil cases.
