RAJANNA-SIRCILLA: A farmer collapsed in a queue while waiting for urea at Gambhiraopet mandal on Tuesday, highlighting the continuing fertiliser shortage in the district.
The farmer, identified as Pendala Mallaiah, suffered seizures and fell unconscious while standing in line with others at the Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society (PACS) outlet in Gambhiraopet.
Other farmers immediately alerted his family, who rushed to the spot and shifted him home. His condition was said to have stabilised later.
