Mancherial: A 40-year old farmer was electrocuted when he accidentally came in contact with a live wire while switching on an electric motor at his agriculture field at Rebbenapalli village in Dandepalli mandal on Wednesday.
Dandepalli police said that the deceased was Gorre Komuraiah, a resident of Rebbenapalli. He died on the spot when he came into contact with live wire. Some neighboring farmers noticed his body and alerted his family members. He is survived by a wife and son. A case was registered, following a complaint received from his wife.
Meanwhile, Bejjanji Sagar (30), a carpenter, was also electrocuted when he touched the electric fence set up by a farmer to prevent wild animals from entering the agriculture field at Landasangvi village in Adilabad Rural mandal on Tuesday. A case has been booked against the farmer, Mekala Pocham, for erecting the electric fence.
