Farmer electrocuted while trimming weeds in Veldurthi

A 28-year-old farmer, Mirzapally Ragupathi, was electrocuted while trimming weeds on a bund amid his paddy fields in Veldurthi on Sunday. He reportedly came in contact with a live wire hidden among the weeds. He is survived by his family.

Medak: A young farmer was electrocuted when he came into contact with a live electric wire while he was trimming the weeds on a bund amid his paddy fields on the outskirts of Veldurthi mandal headquarters on Sunday.

The victim was Mirzapally Ragupathi (28). Unaware that there was an electric wire amid the weeds, he continued trimming with a grass trimmer when the wire was cut, resulting in the incident. The farmer was survived by his wife, Sunitha, and two daughters. The incident left the family in shock.
