Adilabad: Farmers in Mukhra (K) village of Echoda mandal offered Mangal Harati to a flex poster of former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Monday, saying that only his return to power could improve their lives.

They recalled that during Chandrashekhar Rao’s tenure, support for agriculture was extended regularly, while under the Congress rule, benefits were given only around elections. They alleged that only half the farmers had benefited from the crop loan waiver, and many were now struggling due to lack of urea. “During Chandrashekhar Rao’s rule, urea used to reach our homes,” they said.

Accusing the Congress of betraying people across all sectors, farmers said their lives had come to a standstill. They asserted that people in every village wanted Chandrashekhar Rao to return as Chief Minister to revive agriculture and farmers’ welfare.
