Suryapet: Farmers on Sunday staged a dharna at Kudakuda of Suryapet protesting against the sudden closure of the paddy procurement centre of District Cooperative Marketing Society.
The farmers resorted to the protests alleging that the DCMS has closed the paddy procurement center due to political reasons. They expressed strong displeasure over the decision when paddy was stocked by the farmers for sale. They demanded the continuation of the paddy procurement center at Kudakuda.
