Medak: Farmers took to the streets at several places in Medak district over the short supply of urea at Konapur in Ramayampet mandal on Thursday.
The farmers staged a rasta-roko on the Medak-Siddipet road, resulting in a traffic jam as they could not book urea on mobile applications.
The farmers have demanded that the government remove the system of booking urea online immediately. Farmer Shadulla accused the local fertiliser shop management of diverting the urea to other villages.
Similarly, the farmers also staged a protest in Chinna Shankarampet. They accused the government of creating trouble for them. The farmers had faced similar issues at several places across Medak district.
