Farmers seek alms by moving from one house to another at Mukhra (K) village in Echoda mandal on Wednesday.
Adilabad: In a novel protest, farmers of Mukhra (K) village in Echoda mandal went door to door seeking alms to buy urea on Wednesday.
A group of farmers moved from house to house, saying they had no option but to depend on alms to purchase fertiliser amid the shortage. They said the crisis had left them helpless and described it as unprecedented.
The farmers recalled that during former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao’s tenure, they could easily procure urea and even get it delivered by sending the money through an auto-rickshaw driver.
“Now we are forced to beg under the Congress rule,” they lamented.
