Hyderabad: The Federation of Associations of Telangana Higher Institutions (FATHI) urged the State government to hold another round of Telangana ICET counselling and postpone the B-category admissions to MBA and MCA programmes.
In a letter to TG ICET 2026 admissions convener, A Sridevasena, FATHI Chairman Dr N Ramesh Babu and secretary general KS Ravi Kumar said some universities delayed issuing degree marks memos to students who completed their graduation in 2025-26. Similarly, some universities were yet to release the supplementary exam results.
“Due to this, a large number of students who are willing to appear for the counselling could not get their certificates verified even in the second round of counselling that commenced on August 17,” they said.
Further, the TGCHE issued a notification for admission of students under B-category, with August 29 being the last date for submission of students’ admission data in the TGCHE web portal.
In view of the welfare of students, another round of counselling should be scheduled in the first week of September, and the schedule for B-category admissions should be in the last week of September, they added.
