Fawn rescued in Mahabubabad district

They said they will shift the baby spotted deer to the Kakatiya Zoo in Warangal.

Mahabubabad: A fawn was rescued and handed over to the forest staff by a villager at Gunjedu village of Kothaguda mandal in the district on Sunday.

According to forest officials, Muyyaboina Prabhakar of Gunjedu village went to the forest with his cattle on Saturday. When the cattle were returning home in the evening, a fawn joined the herd.

Noticing the fawn, Prabhakar informed VSS chairman Tolem Anantha Rao and MTPC Burka Puspha Latha who in turn informed the forest beat officer Sandeep. Subsequently, the forest staff went to the village and took possession of the fawn.

They said they will shift the baby spotted deer to the Kakatiya Zoo in Warangal.
