Hyderabad: The Forest College and Research lnstitute, Mulugu, in Siddipet has bagged the Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education’s One District-One Champion award.
The contest was conducted across the country and one organisation from each district that is involved in sanitation and increasing green cover, were identified.
Despite being just a year old, the FCRI registered a lot of growth in enhancing green cover, besides sanitation. FCRI Dean Priyanka Verghese said students, faculty, administration staff and others had done their bit which brought the institute the national award.
Forest Minister A Indrakaran Reddy and Principal Chief Conservator of Forest R Shobha complimented the College students and administration for getting the award.
