Hyderabad: Fernandez Hospital, the noted health care facility for pregnant women and newborns, on Monday announced the launch of Little Fernz, its dedicated Paediatric inpatient services at its Banjara Hills (Stork Home), Bogulkunta, and Hyderguda facilities.

Designed for children who require short hospital stays, close observation, and timely medical care, Little Fernz brings together expert paediatric support with the warmth, reassurance, and family-centred care that families have long associated with Fernandez, a press release said.

A key highlight of Little Fernz is its family-first approach, featuring mother-friendly rooms, child-focused nursing care, calm healing spaces, and round-the-clock monitoring by the paediatric team.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Evita Fernandez said, “For over seven decades, families have trusted Fernandez during some of life’s most precious beginnings. With Little Fernz, we are building on that trust by extending our care beyond birth and into the growing years of childhood.”

Dr Sunil Pawar, Head, Neonatology and Paediatrics, Fernandez Hospital, said: “Little Fernz are equipped to manage a range of common childhood conditions including fever-related illnesses, gastroenteritis and dehydration, bronchiolitis, asthma exacerbations, febrile seizures, mild pneumonia etc”.
