Festival turns tragic as man drowns in well in Medak

Dasara celebrations turned tragic in Chilver village, Medak, as 35-year-old Madaboyina Yadaiah drowned in an open agricultural well while swimming. He had returned from Beeramgudam to celebrate the festival. Police registered a case, and an autopsy was conducted

Medak: Dasara festival turned tragic for a family at Chilver village as the family head drowned in an open agriculture well in the village on Thursday.

The deceased Madaboyina Yadaiah (35) had migrated to Beeramgudam to eke out livelihood by working in construction industry. However, he returned to his native place to celebrate Dasara with his family.


Yadaiah has ventured into agriculture well for a swim when he accidentally drowned in the well. The villagers retrieved the dead body after a few hours of effort. The police registered a case. The body was taken to the government hospital for treatment for autopsy.
