Fever survey covers 1.80 lakh households in Hyderabad

On Friday, 720 teams covered 53,002 houses and survey teams referred 18,772 people with fever symptoms to Basthi Dawakhanas and Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHCs) to undergo Covid tests, a press release said.

Hyderabad: As part of the ongoing door-to-door fever survey in the city, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has covered over 1.80 lakh households.

On Friday, 720 teams covered 53,002 houses and survey teams referred 18,772 people with fever symptoms to Basthi Dawakhanas and Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHCs) to undergo Covid tests, a press release said.


On Friday, a review meeting was held at GHMC head office by Mayor G Vijaya Laxmi to monitor Covid containment measures. At the meeting, the Mayor directed the entomology wing to take up extensive disinfectant spraying.

She also appealed to people to get themselves tested in case they have symptoms and avail assistance being provided over the phone. On Friday, the Control Room received 190 calls and doctors and staffers provided information on issues related to Covid-19.
