Siddipet: Fifteen goats belonging to a farmer died after consuming pesticide-laced grass near Narsapur in Siddipet town on Friday.

Locals said the farmer, Sayyed Ahmed Muneer, owns 30 buffaloes and 20 goats. He had taken the animals for grazing on Thursday and brought them back to the shed that evening. When he returned on Friday morning, he found 15 goats dead and the remaining ones seriously ill. He alerted a veterinary doctor, who confirmed that the animals had eaten grass contaminated with pesticides.

Muneer urged the government to extend financial support and said he had suffered heavy losses.
