Fifth class student ends life at BC Girls Gurukul hostel in Yadadri Bhongir
A fifth-grade student, Sandhya, reportedly died by suicide at a government girls' hostel in Yadadri Bhongir district after being forced to stay away from home. The girl had joined the hostel just a day earlier. Police have launched an investigation.
Bhongir: A fifth-grade student, Sandhya reportedly leapt to death from the fourth floor of the hostel building at the BC Girls Gurukul school at Toopranpet in Yadadri Bhongir district on Monday.
According to hostel staff and fellow students, Sandhya, a native of Mahabubnagar district, was admitted to the hostel a day before the incident. She was not willing to stay at the hostel, but her parents had compelled her to enroll.
Unable to cope with the pressure of staying away from home, Sandhya resorted to the extreme step, it is said. The local police registered a case and started an investigation.
