Fifth mohalla library inaugurated at Princess Esin Girls High School in Purani Haveli
The Maryam Mirza Mohalla Library Movement inaugurated the Murtuza Hussain Children’s Library at Princess Esin Girls High School, Purani Haveli, Hyderabad. School Society Director Sultana Nazeerul Hasan emphasised the importance of daily reading for students and teachers.

Hyderabad: The Murtuza Hussain Children’s Library established by the Maryam Mirza Mohalla Library Movement (MMMLM) at the Princess Esin Girls High School, Purani Haveli was inaugurated on Wednesday by School Society Director Sultana Nazeerul Hasan.
Mirza Abdul Qayyum Nadvi, the founder of the Read & Lead Foundation, and MMMLM said it is the fifth library set up in a school in Hyderabad and will help the children inculcate good reading habits.
Speaking on the occasion, Nazeerul Hasan, said books are the best friends of anyone and every student should make it a point to read at least a few pages of any book of their choice every day. She said not only the students but also the teachers will benefit through the library.
Ifthikar Hussain, secretary of Faiz-e-Aam Trust who also participated in the program said that mohalla libraries will develop into a bigger library in the future and the children will take it forward.
On the occasion, Sayeeda Khadeeja, Deputy Director School Committee and Principal Javeria Siddiqui also participated and encouraged the students to make use of the library.
The MMMLM has so far set up 60 libraries mostly in educational institutions across the country.
