Filmmaker Shankar’s daughter Aishwarya Shankar got hitched to cricketer Rohit Damodaren in Chennai. The wedding ceremony was a close-knit private affair held at a resort near Mahabalipuram with a limited number of attendees and selected guests. Among them was Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin.
A doctor by profession, Aishwarya has been in love with cricketer Rohit who is a key player for Madurai Panthers, a team in the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL). Rohit’s father is an industrialist.
