Hyderabad: The Filmnagar police arrested three YouTubers who were allegedly impersonating as vigilance officers and extorting money from domestic LPG dealers.

The arrested are Mohammed Taj (29), Mohd Taufeeq (47) and Mohd Al Hasan, who formed a gang and posed as vigilance officials of the Civil Supplies Department and extorted money. The gang threatened a LPG delivery boy and asked him to pay Rs 60,000, or they would file a case against him.

“The trio then took the phone of the delivery boy, Shivakumar, and transferred Rs 50,000 to their bank account. On a complaint, a case was registered and the trio arrested,” said Inspector Filmnagar, A Ramesh.
