Fine show by AP para athletes at Para National Athletics Meet
Andhra Pradesh para athletes bagged seven medals, including one gold, on day one of the national meet in Bengaluru. Bhavani, Ravi and others delivered strong performances across track and field events
Hyderabad: Para athletes from Andhra Pradesh put up a fine show, winning a gold, three silver and three bronze medals on the first day of the Para National Athletics Meet at Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru on Friday.
R Ravi won the gold in shot put (F40 category), K Yadgiri a silver in shot put (T54 category), G Venkateswarlu a silver in 100m (T42), B Srihari a bronze in long jump (T13), and M Lokesh a bronze in high jump (T42) in the men’s section.
In the women’s section, V Bhavani — who won two gold medals in the Para World Athletics Meet in Czech Republic last week — settled for a silver in the 100m and a bronze in long jump in the T46 category.
