Rajanna-Sircilla: Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister KT Rama Rao instructed officials to complete the double bedroom houses and International driving schools works by Dasara festival when Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is expected to visit the district.
Rama Rao on Monday visited the district and inspected the ongoing works of double bedroom houses in Mandepalli of Thangallapalli manda. Later, he also inspected 2BHK in Sircilla and integrated collectorate office.
Speaking on the occasion, Rama Rao instructed deputy engineers to complete works as early as possible along with all the facilities including electricity and drinking water. Besides surrounding walls, greenery should also be developed in housing areas by planting trees.
Rama Rao instructed District Collector D Krishna Bhaskar to ensure that only genuine beneficiaries are selected for the housing scheme. There have been instances of ineligible people getting house allotments, and in some cases, one beneficiary getting more than two houses, the Minister observed.
Instructing the officials to prepare the list of genuine beneficiaries after conducting a comprehensive survey, the Minister warned officials that they would be suspended if any irregularities were found in the selection of beneficiaries.
Principal Secretary, Municipal Administation and Urban Development, Aravind Kumar, Zilla Parishad Chairperson Nyalakond Aruna, Telangana State Telangana State Cooperative Apex Bank Konduru Ravinder Rao, Collector D Krishana Bhaskar, Superintendent of Police Rahul Hegde and others were present.
