Fire accident at potato chips making godown in Hyderabad’s Jagadgirigutta

Due to the presence of plastic, fibre, and other combustible material in the godown, a thick smoke engulfed in the area, causing panic among the local residents.

Hyderabad: A major fire broke out in a godown of a potato chips making company at Papireddy Nagar in Jagadgirigutta, on the outskirts, on Wednesday. No casualties were reported, but property damage was huge.

Though the actual cause of the fire was not known, police suspect a short circuit led to it.

As per available information, the fire erupted in the godown of Surya Enterprises Company in the early hours.

Due to the presence of plastic, fibre, and other combustible material in the godown, a thick smoke engulfed in the area, causing panic among the local residents.

On receiving information, the local police, along with fire department personnel, reached the spot. Two fire engines were used to extinguish the flames completely. The Jagadgirigutta police are investigating.
