Hyderabad: Property worth lakhs of rupees was gutted when a fire broke out in a tyre manufacturing company at Ibrahimpatnam on Thursday afternoon.
According to Fire officials, the fire started around 10.30 am at a tyre manufacturing unit at Injapur in Ibrahimpatnam. On information, a fire tender from Ibrahimpatnam fire station was rushed to the spot. Two more fire tenders from neighbouring fire stations were sent to the spot a little later.
“After around two hours of firefighting, we managed to bring the fire under control and douse it. We suspect the fire could have been triggered by a short circuit,” Station Fire Officer (Ibrahimpatnam) A Kumar said.
District Fire Officer P Poorna Chandra supervised the firefighting operation.
