Nalgonda: A major fire accident took place in Sri Raghavendra Ferro Alloys company located near Aitipamula of Kattangur mandal in Nalgonda district on Sunday evening.

The people in surrounding villages panicked as thick smoke spread up to 2 km following the fire, triggered by a short-circuit, in the company. No workers were injured in the fire accident as all the employees rushed out on noticing smoke from one of the transformers. Machinery in the company was also damaged in the fire accident.

On receiving information, three fire fighting vehicles rushed to the company and brought the fire under control after two hours.
