Hyderabad: A fire incident triggered panic in Ameerpet on Wednesday, after flames erupted at Shivam Technologies, a coaching centre located in the Maitrivanam area. No casualties or major injuries were reported.
Thick smoke billowing from the building alerted local residents, who immediately informed the police and fire department.
Firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control within a short time.
Preliminary information suggested that the fire may have been caused by the explosion of a few batteries stored inside the premises.
As a precaution, students from other nearby coaching centres and institutes were quickly evacuated from the building.
