Fire guts cotton mill in Sangareddy, 30 tonnes of cotton destroyed
A fire triggered by a suspected short circuit broke out at a cotton mill in Turkawadagaon village of Kangti mandal early Sunday, destroying nearly 30 tonnes of cotton and machinery. Firefighters rushed to control the blaze, while losses are yet to be assessed

Sangareddy: A huge quantity of cotton was reduced to ashes after a short circuit triggered a fire at a cotton mill in Turkawadagaon village of Kangti mandal in the early hours of Sunday. Nearly 30 tonnes of cotton, along with machinery, was reportedly gutted in the mishap.
Security personnel at Samartha Cotton Mills noticed smoke emanating from the premises in the early hours and alerted the fire department. Multiple fire tenders were rushed to the spot and efforts were continuing to douse the blaze.
The total loss caused by the fire had not been immediately ascertained.
