Fire in Old City building, household items damaged
A fire erupted late Friday night in a first-floor flat in Mirchowk’s Magar Bowli area, Hyderabad, damaging household items. Residents evacuated safely, and fire tenders controlled the blaze in about an hour. Officials suspect a short circuit caused the fire.

HYDERABAD: Household articles were damaged when a fire broke out at a building located at Mirchowk in old city on Friday night.
The incident occured around midnight at the Magar Bowli area in Mirchowk. The fire broke out in a flat situated on the first floor of the building.
On noticing it, the families in the building rushed out. Fire tenders from Mogahlpura and nearby fire stations rushed to the spot and doused the fire. It took nearly an hour for the fire department to control and douse the fire.
Officials suspect the fire might have started due to a short circuit.
