Karimnagar: Police Commissioner VB Kamalasan Reddy along with Deputy Director of Fisheries department released fishlings into a tank developed in the City Police Training Center (CTC) here on Saturday. Enthused with the success of Miyawaki forest Phase-I and Phase-II developed in CTC, Karimangar police commissionerate have taken a new project, wherein Rasi vanam, Navagraha vanam, fish tank and walkers track would be developed. To attract birds from different locations, a Nakshtra vanam is also being developed.
Speaking on the occasion, Kamalasan Reddy said the police department received much recognition than that was expected from Miyawaki afforestation and protection of trees planted as part of Haritha Haram programme. He said the achievement was made with the cooperation of forest and agriculture departments, as well as thanked the Fisheries department officials for extending support to develop the fish tank. Environmentalists, bird lovers and common people would be allowed to visit CTC on Saturday and Sunday, the police commissioner informed.
Additional DCPs S Srinivas (law and order) and G Chandramohan (Administration), ACP Shiva Bhaskar, Inspectors Nageshwar Rao and gagender, RI Janimia and Shekar and others participated in the programme.
