Five arrested for duping man by fabricating ownership documents in Adilabad
Five persons were arrested in Adilabad for allegedly forging ownership documents of a house site and selling the property to a buyer. Police said the accused caused financial loss to the complainant and advised citizens to verify documents before property purchases.
Adilabad: Five persons were arrested for allegedly duping a man by creating fake documents of house site ownership here on Thursday.
Mavala Inspector B Prem Kumar said that K Venugopal, Rathnala Rajanna, Kethireddy Krishna Reddy, Mohammad Faizuddin, a document writer, and Darade Keshav, all from different parts of the town were apprehended for their role in cheating Palamuri Jayaprakash from Jainath.
Police said the five caused financial loss to Jayaprakash by intentionally fabricating documents of ownership of a house site located in survey number 65 under the limits of Bhattisavargaon village. They stated five sold the property to the complainant with the help of forged ownership documents. They noted the document played a vital role in the offence.
Police advised the public to thoroughly verify documents before buying an asset. They asked the people to approach the police if they were duped and if they felt they were scammed.
