Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Five persons were arrested by sleuths of a task force team for allegedly indulging in gambling on the outskirts of Ityala village in Dahegaon mandal on Saturday. Seven more are absconding. Police seized Rs 35, 320 in cash and five mobile phones were seized from their possession.
Task force Inspector Rana Pratap said that Botlakijta Arjaiah from Mailaram village in Nennal, Raju Gangadhara, and Keshetti Satish of Thandur, Jodi Srinivas belonging to Kagaznagar and Nallula Rajaiah, a resident of Jankapur in Kannepalli mandal were apprehended while committing the offence, following a tip-off. They were handed over to Dahegaon police for further action.
Morle Nagesh, Shekhar, both from Ityal, Lachaiah of Mailaram, Srikanth belonging to Bellampalli, Bapu and Mallesh, residents of Bodapelli and Venkatesh of Motlaguda were still at large. Sub-Inspector Venkatesh, constables Ramesh, Madhu, Devender and other staffers took part in the operation.
