Five arrested for selling fake premium liquor in Hyderabad
Excise officials arrested five persons for cheating people by selling fake premium liquor in Hyderabad. The gang mixed cheap liquor with original brands and sold it to party hosts. Officials seized 139 bottles, scooters, and empty premium bottles.

Hyderabad: The Prohibition and Excise Department sleuths on Wednesday caught a five-member gang who were cheating the public on pretext of supplying premium brand liquor at low prices. The sleuths seized 139 liquor bottles of top brands, three scooters and empty bottles of premium brands from them.
The arrested persons are Prakash , Gadwal Bharat, Buchidev Mahati, Arvind and Vikram.
According to Shamshabad Excise Superintendent Krishna Priya, the gang was buying empty liquor bottles of premium brands in the market alongside the original premium brands of liquor from stores.
“Afterwards, the gang opened the premium liquor bottles and mixed them with cheap quality liquor at the house of Mahati. After mixing the fluid, they filled the bottles and sold it as premium brand liquor to people who were hosting parties,” said Krishna Priya.
On information, the sleuths kept a watch on the gang and caught them at Gachibowli. A case is registered.
