Five arrested in Tolichowki extortion case, one absconding
Tolichowki police arrested five persons for allegedly extorting Rs 46,000 from a software employee, Junaid, in Akbarpura. Police said the suspects cornered him when he visited a friend’s apartment to collect a laptop, threatened him, and forced him to pay.
Hyderabad: The Tolichowki police have arrested five persons who allegedly extorted Rs 46,000 after threatening a man at Akbarpura.
According to the police, the man, Junaid, a software employee, visited his female friend staying in a flat in an apartment in Akbarpura to collect a laptop when the suspects cornered him and after threatening him, collected Rs 46,000.
The men took a video of Junaid and threatened him to make it public, said the police. Upon receiving a complaint the police registered a case and arrested five persons while another man remains absconding.
