Five booked for harassing women during Ganesh festivities in Adilabad

Five persons were booked in Adilabad for harassing women during Ganesh Chaturthi festivities on Friday night. The SHE Team detained the accused while patrolling in plain clothes. Police urged women to call Dial 100 or 8712659953 in emergencies

Adilabad: Five persons were booked for allegedly harassing women during Ganesh Chaturthi festivities here on Friday night.

Police said a case was registered against Mayur, Siddu, Karthik, Ganesh and Vinayak for misbehaving with women devotees at the festivities in Rani Satish Colony in the town. Members of the SHE Team, who were patrolling in plain clothes, detained the five and booked a case.


SHE Team in-charge ASI B Susheela advised the public to approach the SHE Team by contacting Dial 100 or 8712659953 in case of harassment, distress or emergency. Head constable Vanishri and staffers Rohini and Lavanya took part in the operation.
