Hyderabad: A five-day old baby boy was kidnapped by an unidentified woman at Chandanagar on Tuesday afternoon.
According to the police, Vadde Jyothi, 25, the baby’s mother, a resident of Domalguda, had gone to a tiffin centre near the Chandanagar railway station to have breakfast. “The suspect woman, told her to hand over the baby to her so that Jyothi could have her breakfast comfortably. On the pretext of buying clothes and footwear for the baby, the woman took the infant and fled the spot,” Chandanagar Sub-inspector Ramulu said.
Unable to find her baby and the woman, Jyothi approached the police who booked a case and have formed special teams to rescue the infant.
